Are Top Tip Nails reusable?
Yes! Top Tip Nails are reusable.
When applied with glue, they can usually be reused 1–2 times (sometimes more, depending on how much glue has built up on them)
When applied with adhesive tabs, they can be reused multiple times
To reuse them, gently remove any dried glue from the back of the nail using the included file or cuticle stick.
How do I remove Top Tip Nails safely?
Removal is gentle and non-damaging when done correctly.
If you used adhesive tabs:
Gently slide the flat side of the cuticle stick under the nail
If needed, soak hands in warm soapy water until the nail loosens
If you used nail glue:
Soak hands in warm soapy water for 10–15 minutes
Gently work the cuticle stick under the sides until the nail pops off
Never force removal — patience protects your natural nails.
For super quick removal, you can soak your hands in a bowl of 100% acetone. PLEASE NOTE: Your press-ons will not be reusable after using acetone.
Can I cut or file Top Tip Nails?
Absolutely! Top Tip Nails are fully customisable.
You can:

File them into your preferred shape
Smooth edges with the included file

What happens as my nails grow out?
As your natural nails grow, you may notice lifting near the cuticle. This is normal.
At that point, simply:
Remove the nails gently
Reapply the same set or try a new style

Here’s how it all began…
“That will be $200 all up, please,” said the dental receptionist with a perky smile.
I’d just left the dentist after having a tooth glued back together.
The night before, I was relaxing in bed, reading, mindlessly biting my thumbnail (as I’d done my whole life), when suddenly the entire front of my tooth fell off. Just like that.
The next day, the dentist told me nail biting is one of the most common causes of chipped teeth.
That was the final straw.
I couldn’t afford $200 every time I chipped a tooth — and I definitely didn’t want chipped teeth. Something had to change.
I’d tried everything: gloves while reading, horrible anti-bite polish that made everything taste awful… nothing worked.
The next day, I spotted some press-on nails on sale at the supermarket. Worth a try, I thought — even though my nail beds were very short.
My daughter helped me apply them, and after watching a few tutorials, I realised the secret was all in the prep. Buffing, cleaning with alcohol, choosing the right size, shaping them to suit my lifestyle (I spend a lot of time gardening).
I was pleasantly surprised.
